Through the year we plan activities to expand the children’s view of the world. Our activities include:

Getting Ready for Kindergarten
3 year and 4 year old have their own small group activity time with one teacher. They learn pre-k math, pre-k reading skills and writing, as a preparation for kindergarten.
2 year old are exposed to counting and recognizing their own names and have also small group activity time with another teacher. They learn to focus self- control and delay gratification by learning to wait for their turns and concentrate in a teacher initiated activity
Exposure to the Different Native Languages of our Children
Children and families are encouraged to maintain native languages at home.
There is a mutual interaction and exposure to different languages and cultures.
Children learn from each other's diversity.

Parent Education Library
We offer a collection of classic parenting books and other useful and practical books
Bear Time
Be Excited About Reading
Children are invited to bring a book from home on a weekly basis and are read to "library story time" style.
Books in the children's languages are welcome.
Field Trips
Monthly field trips are related to whatever we are learning.
Parents volunteer to transport children to places in nature, local museums, fire stations, bird watching.
Summer concerts at Linden Tree bookstore, pumpkin patches.
Gardening and Planting
Children care for plants outdoors. They are taught respect for insects, spiders and snails that they might find in the garden.
Annual planting of sunflower seeds, watering the different flowers, learning to recognize the different herbs in our garden.
